Privacy Policy
Gymerium is a workout tracker for supported Android and iOS devices. Core workout data is stored locally on your device by default. This policy explains how data is handled when you use optional accounts, synchronization, subscriptions and platform-specific backup features.
Information We Collect
When you use Gymerium, we may collect:
Account Information
- Account identifiers and email address where provided
- Authentication information needed to sign in and synchronize data
Workout Data
- Exercises
- Workout routines
- Sets, reps, and weights
- Bodyweight and cardio entries where you choose to record them
- Any notes or information you choose to enter
Local Storage and Device Information
Workout information is stored locally on your device by default. Clearing app storage, uninstalling the app, or losing or damaging a device may remove unsynchronized local data.
Device, Analytics, and Crash Information
Gymerium uses Firebase Analytics to record app usage events, such as app opens and workout-related actions, and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash and diagnostic information. These services may process limited device, app-version, and usage information needed to understand performance and reliability.
Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, and Google Drive Backup
If you choose Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, the selected provider supplies identity information needed to authenticate your Gymerium account. Apple may provide a private-relay email address if you choose that option. On Android, if you choose to link Google Drive Backup, Gymerium stores the Google access token in protected device storage and uses the drive.file scope to create, read, and update Gymerium backup files in your Google Drive. Google Drive Backup is not currently available on iOS. We do not use authentication or Drive access for advertising.
App Store and Google Play Billing
If you purchase Gymerium Premium, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. RevenueCat processes subscription entitlement and purchase-status information so Premium can be associated with your Gymerium account and restored safely. Android purchase tokens may also be sent to our server for verification. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.
iPhone Waitlist
If you join the iPhone waitlist, the website sends your normalized email address and the signup source page to the waitlist service. The service also processes abuse-prevention metadata: a salted, one-way hash derived from the request IP address is used only as a rate-limit identifier; raw IP addresses are not stored by the waitlist table. The current implementation does not define an automatic waitlist retention period; contact [email protected] for deletion or questions.
How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Provide and maintain the app
- Synchronize workout data across devices
- Maintain app functionality and account synchronization
- Improve app functionality and user experience
- Respond to support requests and feedback
- Detect abuse, fraud, or security issues
Data Storage and Sync
Creating or signing in to an account enables optional cloud synchronization. Supabase is used where applicable for authentication, storage and synchronization. Premium subscription records are stored only as needed to verify access. Multi-device sync is optional; core use does not require an account, and workout data remains on your device for the offline-first experience.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate optional account synchronization, storage, authentication, subscriptions and reliability features, including Supabase; Apple for Sign in with Apple and App Store billing; Google for Sign-In, Android Drive backup and Google Play billing; RevenueCat for subscription status; and Firebase for analytics and crash reporting. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Google API Limited Use Disclosure Gymerium's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Account Deletion
Users may delete their account and associated cloud data in the app under Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete Account, then type DELETE to confirm permanent deletion. Instructions for in-app deletion and requests without app access are available on the account-deletion page.
Account deletion removes the account, cloud workout data, feedback records, and Premium subscription association from our systems. Local workout data for that account is also removed from the device. Separately created offline-only data is not uploaded and remains on the device until you clear it from the app.
Backup copies and transaction records may be retained for a limited period where required by the provider, security needs or applicable law.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect user information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children's Privacy
Gymerium is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
